The Hollywood Reporter didn’t spare any punches in its most recent, scathing expose on Katherine Heigl, which paints her as the most unprofessional, spoiled, and rude actress no one wants to work with anymore.

Her “North of Hell” co-star Patrick Wilson is speaking up in her defense, telling The Huffington Post that this is all some kind of witch hunt.

First of all, he argues, it’s time to put what happened on “Grey’s Anatomy” behind us and stop dragging that mess up every time we want to say something bad about Katherine, which is what THR did after Heigl was confirmed for a new NBC drama.

From his experience, he can promise she’s nothing like she’s portrayed in the damning piece.

“She was not only not all of those things – ‘Oh, she was late and never came out of the trailer.’ Nothing. She showed up, worked her tail off, super funny, super gracious, great to the cast, great to the crew, and was a total pro,” Patrick says.

Plus, she worked hard and did her part just like she was supposed to, if not actually more. Patrick believes the media has a grudge against Katherine, which is how these exposes come to light.

I’d say there’s a good chance he’s being a tad too nice.
