Owners of Windows Phone devices will soon get the chance to enjoy the benefits of a Path application on their smartphones, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

Apparently, the software will be released on Microsoft’s mobile operating system in a matter of days, although a specific availability timeframe hasn’t been provided as of now.

Recently, Windows Phone received a host of appealing apps, including Instagram, Vine, Waze, and Flipboard (which was announced, but is yet unreleased), and it seems that more of them will be pushed to the platform as well.

In fact, Anvid Erdian, product manager of Nokia Indonesia, reportedly confirmed the near availability of Path for Windows Phone during the official launch of Nokia Lumia 1020 in Jakarta on December 9.

According to him, the software will be released very soon, and users should patiently wait for it, a recent article on techno.okezone reads. As NokiaNesia notes, Path for Windows Phone was confirmed last month too, by Dave Morin.

At the same time, Anvid Erdian also said that Windows Phone users might also receive access to the BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) service on their devices.

Once exclusive to BlackBerry smartphones, BBM is now available for Android and iOS devices out there as well, courtesy of dedicated mobile clients, and the same should happen when it comes to Windows Phone too.

Anvid Erdian unveiled that Microsoft was assessing the possible release of specific apps on its platform based on user demand, and BBM appears to be one of the mobile clients that users are asking for.

However, there’s no telling on when exactly the BBM app will be released in the Windows Phone Store. Info on its features is missing as well.

With Microsoft already showing increased interest in ensuring the Windows Phone users get the most popular apps out there, it would not come too much as a surprise if an official announcement on BBM came sooner rather than later.

However, no confirmation on the fact that the client is actually under development has emerged for the time being, and we’ll have to wait for a formal unveiling to learn more on it.
