Aside from Corel and Quark Xpress, Word and PowerPoint are also affected by a buggy update

We’ve already told you that a faulty Windows 7 Patch Tuesday fix had broken down fonts in several software solutions, including Quark Xpress and CorelDraw, but it seems that more applications are actually affected.

According to several users posting on Microsoft’s support forums, the patch has also wrecked fonts in Word and PowerPoint, both running on Windows 7 and XP. Characters larger than 15 points become invisible, consumers have reported.

It’s all because of the so-called Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2753842) and because Microsoft is yet to release a fix, affected users have no other option than to manually remove the update.

In addition, restoring the computer to a previous point should also solve this problem until the company officially publishes a workaround or a downloadable patch.
