Only the PS3 version gets fixed for now

No, we're not talking about a cool eye patch for Altair, but rather about some useful piece of software, that would fix the game's glitches and bugs. It's rare that we see patches for console titles, but when the gaming community asks for them, you can't just ignore them and pretend that the game's bug-free. Well, unless you're the developer of BioShock...

Back to Ubisoft and Assassin's Creed, you might want to know that the game's plagued by a pretty ugly duplicity bug plus a famous "humping guard" glitch. The first one involves having two Altairs at the same time in the game and controlling them both, with the risk of killing yourself when one of them dies, hit by its alter-ego. As for the "humping" fellow, he'll be doing exactly what the name says, "making smooth love" to a table while generating strange noises.

The game's developers and producers didn't say anything about fixing these glitches, mentioning instead that they'll improve the game's stability and fix all of its freezing issues. I'm glad to hear such good news, as finally the consoles get the credit they deserve and the patches we were all waiting for. Remember the good old days when producers had to pull games out of all shops when a major console title glitch surface? Those patches would have really been useful back then ...

Now, thanks to an Internet connection (and some sympathy from Ubisoft towards its fans) we get to solve most of the issues that plague a certain title with the aid of a an application. Let's just hope that this patch won't behave like the update issued by Sony a couple of days ago, you know, the one that fixed the issues of the 2.00 firmware and created some nasty problems for Call of Duty 4.
