Coming with the Equipment Manager

Surely part of the success of World of Warcraft, the Blizzard created MMO that has more than 11 million paying subscribers world wide, is the frequency and quality of the patching process. A little over six months since the release of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, the game has already received one massive patch, adding new content, and now patch 3.12 for WoW has been released. You can get it from Softpedia.

The big change in the update is the addition of the Equipment Manager. This feature can be enabled from the Interface Options menu and allows players to create different equipment sets for their characters that can then be swapped on the fly, using hotkeys. Items in World of Warcraft can now be pulled directly from backpacks and from bank slots.

Some changes have also been made to the Player versus Players section of the MMO in patch 3.12, with health and damage for all the vehicles used in Strand of the Ancients and in Lake Wintergrasp being designed as to scale up with the level of gear that the player operating them has. Also, the daily quests for the last location mentioned have been re-worked to be weekly. To make them attractive, the rewards for them have been increased.

Some bug fixes are offered with the reset clock for Hodir being adjusted, tooltips related to the Anti Magic Shell fixed and Blood Boil able to cast even if there's no target for it. Of course, a lot of changes have been made to the various in-game character classes. The full list of changes can be found on the official World of Warcraft site.

No new content is being introduced as part of the 3.12 patch, which could be a disappointment for the veteran players who have already run through the Ulduar content introduced by the previous patch. Blizzard is probably working on something right now, getting it ready for a future update.
