Fixes various bugs

If there's something that Blizzard has learned to do very well when it comes to World of Warcraft, it's patching. Only a short while after releasing the big patch, labeled 3.1, which introduced a new raid area in Ulduar and the ability for certain characters to dual spec, Blizzard put out another update, a smaller one, set to fix some of the problems that arose from the implementation of the previous patch.

With such a big MMO as World of Warcraft, quick releases of such hotfix patches are essential to keep the player base happy and playing. Blizzard's speed is surely one argument for those paying a monthly subscription to play World of Warcraft. You can get patch 3.1.1 from Softpedia.

The biggest consequence of the latest patch for World of Warcraft is that all players will have their talent points refunded. This is due to the fact that some issues occurred with the dual talent specialization concept, which appeared in 3.1. All the talents can now be chosen again. Blizzard is mentioning that glyphs are not affected by the change.

Characters with different classes and races are now again able to view professions while linked in chat and nameplates are now normal size again. Several graphical glitches have also been removed, especially those that affected players running the game on GeForce2 or ATI 7 series cards.

Blizzard has also made sure that players can get the “Storming Stormwind” Achievement, which was previously bugged. Those who have completed the requirements for it should get it retroactively. The mob packs that are part of Ulduar's XT-002 Deconstructor battle have been delinked and can be taken out one at a time.

There are also some changes to the Culling of Stratholme raid. Let's hope that 3.1.1 has managed to take care of all the issues generated by the previous patch and that there will be some time before another update arrives.
