A new version of Parsix Linux was just released, a few minutes ago! It comes with new features, bug fixes and many improvements over previews releases. Among the improvements, we can notice that the Rhythmbox audio player was replaced by the popular and sexy Exaile. Moreover, software such as IP Traf, Bug Buddy, AptOnCD, XawTV, xfardic-xdb-gcide, qemuctl, qemu-launcher, rpm, espeak and tsclient were added or re-added by popular demand.

Highlights of this release include:

Other notable changes in Parsix GNU/Linux 1.0r0:

? An updated and improved version of Parsix installer (0.82.0.3) that supports auto-detection of all installed operating systems to add them into the GRUB menu. ? Improved and overhauled live system structure. Grabbed some startup and shutdown scripts from F.U.L.L.S.T.O.R.Y project. ? New live compression system: SquashFS+LZMA 3.2r2 which brings higher decompression speed, which results in a small image size of the Live CD. ? New artwork: Aquarius background (credits goes to Michael Smith), Aurora GTK+2.0 theme engine (credits goes to Eric Matthews), new Tropical sound theme (credits goes to Tom Haste). ? Updated HCF/HSF based winmodem drivers. ? Updated the documentation. ? Updated network configuration helper tool which now supports input of AP address for wireless networks. ? New X.Org configuration helper GUI ported from Ubuntu. ? Last but not least, this version also contains lots of clean-ups and minor corrections.
