Rob Schneider and Robin Williams weren't just two comedic actors working in the same branch, they were also longtime friends, who had been close since the early ‘80s when they both appeared on the sketch show Saturday Night Live show.

For the first time since Robin's death, Rob Schneider has opened up about his longtime friend, and what he has to say might prove a little tough to swallow for some. The 50-year-old actor took to Twitter to post this disconcerting theory, “Now that we can talk about it #RobinWilliams was on a drug treating the symptoms of Parkinson’s. One of the side effects is suicide.”

Robin's wife revealed to the press late last week that Robin was indeed suffering from early stages of the progressive neurological disorder known as Parkinson's disease at the time of his death and that he was taking medication, but what kind of pills he was on at the time he chose to end his own life was never mentioned.

But Schneider isn't the only one who believes it was the medication that killed Robin, his thoughts are echoed by some of Williams' friends who are in agreement that the medicinal cocktail Robin was on to treat his disease led to his demise.

“A lot of Robin’s friends are convinced that the cocktail of prescription pills he was on somehow contributed to his mental state deteriorating as quickly as it did,” one insider told the Daily Mail and added that “Robin had always suffered from depression and addiction but the diagnosis and treatment of his Parkinson’s was new, as was the combination of drugs he was on.”

Williams isn't the only actor who has been diagnosed with Parkinson's. Michael J. Fox is another celebrity that has been affected by this disease. When learning about Williams' private diagnostic, Fox claims that he was stunned and tweeted that he considered him “a true friend” and that “I wish him peace.”

After Robin's death due to suicide, many theories emerged in the press, some citing money issues stemming from his divorce, others that he had relapsed into alcoholism, while others concluded that his depression had finally gotten the better of him.

An official investigation has been started and will try to best determine why Robin Williams, a beloved comedic actor that had made millions laugh and cry throughout his lengthy career, chose to end his life so abruptly and so violently by hanging himself by his belt in his own bedroom.
