Now that the mind-blowing reality show 'The Simple Life' (if, when you say 'reality', you imagine the same thing happening three or four times until it's convenient to you, that is) has come to an end (to read: has been canceled), Paris Hilton is looking for a job. But, you see, her talent is way too great to limit herself only to the silver screen, so she must also try her hand at some other show in television.
Although the socialite is now preparing to star in what will surely win at least a dozen Oscars, a sci-fi thriller called 'Repo! The Genetic Opera' which deals with organ transplants in the year 2056 and how people will be able to simply go and 'retrieve' the donated organs if the receiver doesn't pay the monthly tax (just like when you get a loan from the bank, go broke and the bank comes and takes your house and leaves you on the street), she still seems to have time to look into future projects.
And, since the world of reality shows has proved to be such an inspired choice for Paris, why not go through that again? Only that, this time, she won't be the queen of her own show, who gets to say what goes and what not, or how many times they have to shoot a take until she's happy about it - this time around, she'll have to play it as real as she can. Apparently, claims a source, Paris wants to do 'Celebrity Big Brother UK'. Stop laughing. Now.
Says a Channel 4 insider: 'Paris is really keen to do the show because she wants to show people the real her. She wants to show the British public that there is more to her life than shopping and partying and she would certainly make an interesting housemate. It all depends on whether or not we can afford her.' So far, the negotiations have been somewhat bitter and difficult, presumably because, you see, Paris is not that cheap. No matter how she comes off to the American public.
I, for one, certainly hope Paris gets the part. Nothing, in the whole history of television, can actually top a show in which Paris Hilton would be put to her place by some uptight British celeb! I'm not calling for violence, but I would love to see her pretty wonky face when she would realize that she actually has to live with those people in the same house and that they can't reshoot the same scene over and over again because, ugh, I dunno, her hair was not yet ready.
Also, just to show that Paris is more than shopping and partying, here's a photo of Paris apparently reading a book. Only that the book is actually a photo album of herself and she's probably thinking, 'God, I look hot!'. Not superficial at all...
