Enter David LaChapelle, a photographer whose work borders, quote, 'at the outer edge of outrageous iconography'. Meaning: pornography, but not quite. Because it pretends to be art.

In June 2006, Taschen Books will release a photo album by LaChapelle, including portraits of famous figures such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Eminem and, of course (how could she possibly miss such a perfect occasion of showing off her artistic talents?), Paris Hilton.

The respective picture presents the blonde all tied up with a microphone wire, stark butt-naked, except high-heeled leather boots. When, instead, they should have tied her tongue, to stop her from scratching our ears with her 'song'.

The photo album is suggestively called 'LaChapelle: Artists and Prostitutes'. Now, one has to wonder: where does Paris fit?
