Paris Still Thinks It's OK to Put Your Nightie On and Hit the Town

For a woman who goes shopping in her PJs, this is a step forward

Paris Hilton likes to consider herself a fashionista to the core - she has such a high opinion of herself in this matter, that she even started designing women's clothes and accessories a while ago. But we must not forget that this woman is also the one who believes going out without underwear is a very 'cool' thing to do. That's hot!

This is not the first time that Paris took something she should wear underneath all her clothes and went out dressed in it. But, God forgive me for this one, this time she really looks good in it (by comparison, this should mean she looks 'fairly decent'). And the thought that she did it at some fancy Armani Exchange sunglass launch - that is, some fancy social event where all the who's who gathered and looked nice and pretty and decent for the cameras - only makes it worse.

What this woman does to fashion (and, implicitly, to your eyes) is indescribable: because she is who she is, she thinks she can do whatever she wants. And guess what? So it is! The perfect example is this outfit that she wore last night at the aforementioned party, apparently a nightie she would bring to one of her girlfriends' sleepover, taken and accessorized so as to resemble a dress.

But what I love more about these photos, aside from the ridiculousness of the nightie, is the way Paris tries to come off as some sexy, luring and unattainable siren. Face it: even if the lingerie she has on doesn't quite look like an absolute piece of crap on her, her face ruins all that could have been salvaged from her image. Really, she should stop making those 'sexy' faces for the cameras because the trick is no longer working on us. The Olsens must have overused it on us and now we're immune to it.

Also present at the huge party were Nicole Richie (who is actually looking waaay hotter than Paris), Lindsay Lohan (who only posed with Nicole and not Paris - I wonder why?) and many other established or would-be socialites. Useless to say, Miss Hilton was, in my eyes, the queen of the ball because she is that smart and beautiful and elegant!
