Since the death of her father, the late King of Pop Michael Jackson, Paris, his daughter, didn’t talk too much with the press about the tragedy that struck when she was just 11. In a new interview cited by the Daily Mail, she’s opening up on that topic as well.

She also reveals that she dreams of becoming a heart surgeon, despite rumors saying both she and her brothers were headed for a career in showbiz.

“I want to help people, that’s it,” she says when asked why she’d want this as her career when she could practically do anything else in the world – or nothing at all, if that’s what she’d want.

Paris, who is a cheerleader for her school but has also tried her hand at women’s football and photography, besides taking dance and music lessons, also talks a bit about her late father.

Until just recently, she kept a “shrine” of sorts for him in her room and, not surprisingly at all, she has nothing but fond memories about their time together.

The world never got to see the real Michael, Paris says, because only she, her brothers, and a handful of other people were privy to this side of him.

“I have lots of memories of my father. He was an incredible father. We all loved him to death,” she says in the interview.

“He’d try to educate us as much as he could and was always looking out for us. He was very protective,” Paris adds.

It was this protectiveness that made Michael put masks on his children’s faces whenever they were out in public, because he believed that this would keep them safe and, at the same time, able to enjoy a relatively normal life.

“He didn’t want anyone to see what we looked like. That way we could have what he didn’t, which was a normal childhood,” Paris explains.
