Paris Jackson, the only daughter of the late King of Pop Michael Jackson, has been hospitalized after a reported suicide attempt. Perry Sanders, a family attorney, tells The Wrap that she remains in hospital but is out of danger.

Paris is “getting appropriate medical attention” but is “physically fine,” Sanders explains.

He also links the hospitalization to the tragedy of losing her father at such an early age and then having to deal with all this insanity in the media.

“Being a sensitive 15 year old is difficult no matter who you are. It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you,” he says, adding that the family would appreciate privacy at this moment.

TMZ reports that Paris tried to take her own life, even leaving a suicide note and cutting herself with a meat cleaver.

Citing unnamed sources close to the family, the celebrity publication writes that Paris has had several other attempts of this kind, but none as serious as this one.

“This was not a cry for help,” says one such spy.

Apparently, Paris cut herself on the right forearm, and had also taken a lot of Motrin pills. There’s no word yet on the contents of the note, but another source claims that Paris “threw a fit” over not being allowed to go to a Marilyn Manson concert.

According to the same media outlet, older photos of Paris could offer hints as to when her troubles started: “TMZ has found several photos of Paris in which it appears Paris' arm has possible cutting scars,” it writes.

One of the pics is from April this year.

Paris is now on involuntary 72-hour psychiatric hold.

Several statements coming from various members of the family, including Paris’ mother Debbie Rowe, to whom she was reconciled this year, refuse to state the exact reason for the hospitalization.
