Speculation about a marriage proposal from Doug Reinhardt has been making the rounds for a few weeks now, but it was Paris herself who squashed it just recently when she posted a message on her official MySpace page saying the contrary. Yet, this does not mean that the heiress does not see herself as Doug’s wife – on the contrary, from what she tells E! Online.

Paris has not been dating Doug for long, but that does not mean that what they have is not strong or, for that matter, true love. Actually, the heiress adds, it is more than love that keeps them together, since they’re also good friends, which is why she knows that there would be no better husband for her than Doug.

“We’re best friends. It’s not like we just met. We’ve known each other over the past year. I was in a relationship before and we reconnected. I’m really in love and really happy.” Paris tells the aforementioned publication. Moreover, while she bluntly denies the rumor that they are engaged, that is not to say it can’t – or won’t – happen in the future. “You never know.” Doug chimes in. “He’s going to be my husband.” Paris adds, giggling.

Judging by the amount of time they spend together, one thing is certain at this point: these two are inseparable. In fact, as Paris goes on, they’re almost always together, including those moments when she’s shooting for her latest reality show, “My New BFF,” which is meant to find her a friend, after things did not work out with the winner from the first season, Brittany Flickinger.

“It’s really hard because I loved her and I trusted her but sometimes people get too caught up and they change. I want a best friend who wants to be friends with me because I’m a good person and a good friend, not for any other reason. I’ve been fooled by so many girls.” Paris explains about the need to have another season. What’s best, she points out, is that she has Doug to help her make the right decisions this time around. “It’s good having my boyfriend on set and watching. He comes up with funny ideas and production loves him.” Hilton concludes by saying.
