Paris Hilton's TV show, 'The Simple Life', who made the sexy socialite famous, has been canceled by Fox.
According to a statement released on Wednesday, the network declared that the main reason they canceled the fourth season of the show was because of their stacked schedule.
"At Fox we have a unique midseason situation," the network said. "We're enjoying solid performances by our returning shows and we've also already ordered full seasons of Prison Break, Bones and The War at Home. Collectively, we did not see a place for The Simple Life on our schedule this season."
And it appears the show will be replaced by the new run of Simon Cowell's TV talent show 'American Idol Stateside'. "In January we have to accommodate 222 hours of new programming with '24' and 'American Idol", Fox representatives added.
But, according to National Enquirer, the real reason for dumping the show was because the heiress of the Hilton empire refuses to talk with her co-star, Nicole Richie, the adopted daughter of singer Lionel Richie.
"It's no big secret that Nicole and I are no longer friends," Hilton said in April. "I will not go into the details of what happened. All I will say is that Nicole knows what she did, and that's all I am ever going to say about it."
The girls never spoke to each other since then.
