Paris Hilton Walks Out of Interview When Asked If She’s a Has-Been

There’s only one way to shut Paris Hilton up: ask her about former BFF, frenemy and now rival in the ratings Kim Kardashian. While doing an interview for Good Morning America, the reality star completely lost her cool when asked whether she thought her time was up.

As the video below will confirm, Paris was on GMA to promote her brand new reality show, “The World According to Paris,” which has reached the end of the first season but continues to take hit after hit in the ratings, which were not that good to begin with.

After a truthful introduction by Dan Harris, who notes that Paris Hilton was the one who started the “famous for being famous” trend in showbiz and that she was the original celebutante, he gets down to business with the blue-eyed star.

He first asks her if she’s jealous of how far her former sidekick Kim Kardashian has come, to which she replies shortly, “No.” Paris is showing the first signs that she’s losing her temper, as if she knows what’s coming next.

“Do you ever worry about your moment having passed?” Harris goes. It’s a direct, perhaps too harsh question, but Paris should know better than to let her envy get the best of her.

She exchanges glances with her publicist, who is heard mumbling something and then, without a single word, gets up and walks out on Harris.

From backstage, she’s heard saying “I don’t want all of this being used!,” perhaps not realizing that her microphone is still on.

Eventually, Harris gets her to cool down and return for the rest of the interview. When she does come back, she has an entire text at the ready about how she’s in the business because she’s constantly able to reinvent the Paris Hilton brand.

“I’ve been in this business for 15 years now, so it’s been a very long time. Just like any other business person or someone in the industry, it’s always important to reinvent yourself and come up with new projects,” she tells Harris, right after showing off the house she had built for her dogs, an exact replica of the house she lives in.

After the interview airs, GMA staff can be heard giggling off-camera, as Harris explains that Paris broke up with her boyfriend Cy Waits after seeing footage from the new show and realizing that chemistry between them was no longer as it was in the beginning.
