If anyone still had any doubts left as to whether or not Paris Hilton is an attention-seeking media whore, we now have one more piece of evidence in support of that particular theory slash hard fact. Remember the good ol' days when Paris was a TV reality show, ahem, star, together with best pal Nicole Richie? Well, it's no secret for anyone now that Paris and Nicole have never really been the best of friends, and have been known to struggle for the spotlight once in a while. And now, Paris has apparently decided that all is fair in the "get me a place in the spotlight" game and has back stabbed Nicole big time.
As you probably know, Nicole Richie and her baby daddy rocker, Joel Madden, held their baby shower at the Beverly Hills Hotel last Sunday. The exclusive coverage was granted to "InStyle" magazine; and so, you might think this is the end of the story - but in fact it's where it all began. What you probably don't know is that early last week, someone was very keen in offering (as in selling) pirated pictures of "The Wizard of Oz"-themed party to competing magazines -and one of Nicole's friends suspects everybody's favorite heiress was behind it.
"All of the photos that were offered had Paris right in the center of them", as the star's insider insists. "They look set up". However, the pictures (which came with a rather spicy price tag of around $3,000 to $4,000) did not sell, as it was Thanksgiving and all celebrity tabloids closed early last week. But, the Richie pal, who suspects Paris, was quick to add that the Hilton heiress was not after the money in the first place. "None of the money would have been for Paris - for her it's about the attention". No, Paris would never do something like that. I mean, it's not like she's a media-loving, attention-seeker, is she?
"Paris was a hostess of the shower, to which a large number of people attended. Many of these guests were taking photos with camera phones . . . there is no way she had anything to do with this", Paris' representative was quick to reply. And we totally believe it - I must say, I have actually started feeling sick with myself for ever suspecting the blonde socialite of trying to pull out such a scam. Kidding. I'm totally rooting for a Hilton - Richie cat fight, though - perhaps after the baby is born. Now that would be pure drama!
