MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski has taken a valiant stand against the heiress

Folks, I've got the most unbelievable piece of news! Someone in the US made a protest against Paris Hilton! Well, that's what we do every day, no biggie, right? Well, this person has expressed her disapproval towards Paris live on a major TV channel. That person, who from now on deserves your unconditional respect, is Mika Brzezinski.

So what did she do? Well, seeing how Paris Hilton just got out of jail (where she should be serving her 45-day sentence even as you are reading this, not on some beach in Hawaii), every news station in the country is going crazy with Paris Hilton this, Paris Hilton that, opening up their news bulletins. That was the case in MSNBC's Morning Show. When it was time to read the news, co-host Mika Brzezinski refused to begin with a Paris Hilton story. She apologized to the viewers for the situation and then proceeded to rip the script up.

The show's producers did not think kindly of this and informed Mika that she has to use Paris Hilton as the lead story for the following news bulletin. Brzezinski refused to give in and borrowed a lighter from co-host Joe Scarborough and attempted to set the script on fire. Joe stepped in and prevented Mika from burning a Paris Hilton related news script on live TV. That would have been the picture of the year. Also, it could have gotten Mika fired.

Needless to say, the producers told her again that she has to open up with Paris on the next news bulletin. The reaction of Mika was priceless. She said: "I'm about to snap. I've ripped up the previous Paris Hilton story but they're leading with it again." And this time she was determined to prove her point. Therefore, she put the script in the shredder and bye-bye Paris!

The video of Mika Brzezinski's stand has become an instant hit across the Internet and she is hailed as a true heroine. But today many rumors have surfaced that what Mika did was a hoax meant to increase MSNBC's ratings. Whether that is true or not, Mika Brzezinski's actions and the instant responses are a clear indicator that more and more people are getting fed up with Paris.
