Paris Hilton Likes It Hot Pink

The MOTORAZR handset is the hottest in Japan at the moment.

I never thought I would ever again mention Paris in one of my articles for the simple fact that I pretty much don't like her and my keyboard hates me typing her name like nothing else on the face of the Earth but she really does love the MOTORAZR cellphone, as I saw in the pictures of the phone's official release in Japan and I feel obliged to inform everybody about it.

Therefore, if you are a Paris Hilton admirer, you will know what is the phone of choice for you if you live in Japan and use the NTT DoCoMo FOMA 3G network.

The MOTORAZR
handset has begun selling in the Japanese stores on December 14th and since that moment, it has been literally flying off the shelves like nothing else before it (maybe the PS3 would top this but I'm not very well informed regarding the subject of how many Sony consoles have been sold in Japan until now).

The guys from Motorola and the NTT DoCoMo staff have done their best to make the cellphone a real hit among the Japanese people and by inviting Paris Hilton at the launch (you can see her in the picture showing off the pink version of the phone and god knows what else), having David Beckam filming on the Japanese MOTORAZR ad and being a part of the website dedicated to this handset, a website you can visit clicking here, they sure did a pretty good job.

The RAZR is the thinnest FOMA 3G mobile phone available now in Japan measuring only 14.9 mm and it features an anodised aluminum case, the laser-etched thin metal keypad we all learned to love (or hate), wireless Bluetooth capability, NTT DoCoMo's World Wing 3G global roaming and the iMode content service which might be the main reason this handset has been such a success in Japan in the first place, of course, behind the appearance of Paris at the official launch :).

The Motorola's corporate vice-president and general manager for Mobile Devices Business North Asia, Michael Tatelman, has declared at the press conference that they "knew people were waiting for MOTORAZR, and we knew the Christmas season would be big. This proves it will be as big a hit in Japan as it is everywhere else. This is the best possible endorsement of the strategy DoCoMo and Motorola have pursued in creating a device that is powerful yet elegant and sophisticated, and is a clear demonstration of how much people in Japan want a device like this."

So, if you are Paris Hilton's fan, an admirer of David Beckham and you've been already convinced to buy the MOTORAZR or, in a more natural manner, you simply like what this cellphone has to offer and you happen to live in Japan, you should know the handset is available in Cool Silver, Neo Black and Hot Pink in the NTT DoCoMo stores and at all the authorized retailers from Japan.
