Paris Hilton may be head over heels in love with her new beau, lover boy Benji Madden - however, unfortunately for the socialite's ego - "ordinary" people in the street seem to have no love for her. As you might have heard, the blond disaster named Paris has her own reality show in the making, which will try to find someone patient or crazy enough to put up with Paris' whims. In other words, her life is so miserable that she needs a reality TV series to help her find a half-decent friend. Trouble is, when it comes to doing the actual recruiting, there don't seem to be too many people eager to take on the daunting task.
If Paris' casting directors hit New York City thinking they will have to deal with thousands of potential candidates lining up for days ahead outside the audition hall hoping for a lucky break, they were woefully disappointed. The atmosphere outside Nikki Midtown was calm and relaxed, mainly because there was a very small number of candidates waiting to impress the jury with their amazing skills. "There were less than 40 people there," one audition insider stated for OK! magazine. "There were girls wearing matching pastel prom dresses with Swarovski crystal pendants and updos, ghetto-fabulous girls and two goth-inspired girls with bleach blond hair, pale makeup, eyelash extensions and leather clothing," the same source adds.
However, at least some of the Paris BFF-wannabes came across as merely attention-seekers, as OK! reports that at least one contender was heard remarking that she, "totally couldn't live in the house with Paris" as the socialite "would be so annoying!"
Well, it looks like Paris and her crew definitely need to go on looking, and perhaps hold some of the auditions at the North Pole, where there's still a chance some people at least don't know about Paris' reputation and could maybe be persuaded to appear on the show for a couple of episodes. And just incidentally, this sounds a lot like that "Shot At Love" series, and given Paris' past lesbian turns, anything could happen. So stay tuned for more news of the socialite and her new endeavor into reality TV.
