Even though I, like millions of other people, thought Paris Hilton’s plan of making it as a pop star wasn’t a good one, I could never deny the playability of a track like “Stars Are Blind.” I can’t say the same about her new single, “Good Time.”

Though a collaboration with DJ Afrojack and Lil Wayne, the new song is best described as a hot mess of annoying and repetitive sounds that aim to transform it into an earworm and thus make it more appealing for radio play.

It should, at least in theory, make up for such instances of pure lyrical geniusness like “Red velvet, paparazzi, I don’t really give a [expletive]/ Because I came here to party rock,” but it doesn’t.

“Good Time” isn’t even mildly entertaining. Not even Lil Wayne can save it and, at this point, I’m actually wondering if signing Paris to his record label was his idea of making fun of us or he really believes in her as a singer.

You can listen to the track on YouTube but *please note that discretion is recommended because it contains language that might offend.
