14 DAY TRIAL // News broke yesterday that socialite Paris Hilton and her beau of 1 year, Cy Waits, had probably called it quits. Paris herself confirmed reports on George Lopez the other night: she is officially single.
As the video below will confirm, Paris was on the show to talk about her reality show. Since most of the drama in the romance with Cy played out in front of the cameras on the show, the topic of the breakup was bound to come up.
Asked by Lopez whether she “dumped Cy,” Paris elegantly announces that she’s “single” right now. Just as elegantly she shuts down Lopez’s claim that the breakup was down to her wild partying ways.
“We’re not together anymore. I love him and we remain really good friends. I feel like the relationship ran its course and we’ll see what happens,” she says, refusing to commit to a concrete answer.
Reports in the media claim that Cy simply got too tired of always being in the spotlight because of Paris, so it was he who came up with the decision to end the romance.
As we also informed you a while back, the two went on a break some time ago to “reevaluate” their relationship because they felt there was nothing more to be got from it.
Moreover, there was Cy’s unhappiness to always being in the public eye, sources told the glossies. He felt he wanted some part of his personal life to remain private.
“Cy is very upset with The World According to Paris. He felt that way too much of their private life was shown. When he signed on to do the show, he had no idea the cameras would be so invasive,” a tipster revealed of the reason the two were no longer getting along.
“Cy has a daughter and he’s very protective about keeping her out of the media and wanting her to lead a normal life,” the same insider added.
