The socialite thinks she's like the physicist just because they have the same zodiac sign

Paris Hilton might be a business-savvy celebrity but when it comes to pearls of wisdom, the hotel heiress often strikes out, much to the amusement of her detractors. The same thing happened in a recent interview she gave to the British newspaper, the Telegraph.

In the interview, Paris, who's been largely absent from the local celebrity stage, claims that her zodiac sign makes her very similar to one of the greatest minds humanity has ever produced, Albert Einstein. It turns out that Paris is a strong believer in the zodiac and astrology, which is why she's convinced she and the famous physicist have a lot in common.

Paris herself is a Aquarius, and she describes herself as “We are social butterflies, humanitarians, geniuses: Einstein was one.” Sadly for her, Einstein was a Pisces, not an Aquarius, but that's another discussion.

Go ahead and laugh all you want, Paris doesn't even care anymore. The socialite tells the newspaper that she has developed a thick skin when it comes to evil stories printed about her. “If people want to be mean, that's their problem,” Paris warns, adding that “It used to be really hurtful. I would call and cry to my mom all the time but now I just laugh.”

The discussion inadvertently turns to that leaked tape that basically launched her into super-stardom and Paris reveals that it has had a deep effect on her life in the sense that she can now no longer trust any man, no matter how good his intentions.

The tape would become viral in 2004 and Rick Salomon, her then-boyfriend, would rise to a fame of his own. Paris, however, explains that she was left badly wounded, “[i]t was devastating because that was someone I was with for a few years. I don't think I'll ever be able to fully trust any man again after that. It was just the most hurtful and awful thing that anyone could do to a little girl. I was very young, it wasn't my fault.”

Looking back at her past relationship and her present ones, Paris can't help but draw a line to her parents' marriage and she claims that she's now looking for a man that's very much like her father “Now, when I'm looking for a guy, I'm always thinking of someone who is like my dad: a loyal person with a good heart, because that's all that matters in life.”

Hearing her makes you think that Paris has really grown and become this mature and down-to-earth person. But then you read that Einstein comment again and realize that she's the same person who once said “I am the closest thing to American royalty.”
