When “Fairly Legal” star Sarah Shahi took to her Twitter to say she’d almost been run over by Paris Hilton, it was shocking to see that the heiress said nothing in her defense. She’s now broken her silence to say that she’s been wrongfully accused.
As we
also reported at the time, Sarah went on the record with her story of how Paris nearly ran her over with her car and didn’t even stop to check if she was ok.
The actress also called Paris names and demanded that she apologize to “mankind” for basically being a “horrible excuse for a human being.”
Hilton spoke to
Extra about the so-called incident and Shahi’s Twitter attack, and denied that she was ever involved in such a situation.
“I have no idea! I was so shocked when I read that too. I’ve never met this person in my life. I wasn’t even driving that day,” Paris says of Sarah’s accusation.
In fact, when the incident happened, she wasn’t even out, let alone behind the wheel.
“I had just came back from Vegas with my boyfriend and we were at home relaxing. I hadn’t even been in a car that day. I literally came with a driver from the airport [and] went to my house,” the socialite explains.
“Then later on, I read that. Dude, I wasn’t even driving,” she stresses.
But she does propose an interesting theory: it could have been some other blonde who resembled her that nearly ran over Sarah, and she (Sarah) believed it was Paris.
“Maybe it was some other blonde girl who looks like me. There is a lot of look-alikes, Paris look-alikes for a living that live in Los Angeles. They are always doing things and I’m getting blamed for it. So this could be another incident like that,” Paris explains.
If that’s the case, Paris is not the only celebrity to experience trouble from lookalikes. Lindsay Lohan
told Jay Leno just recently that the same also happens to her, especially these days when she’s being trialed for theft and has to be on her best behavior.
