Paris Hilton's former BFF Nicole Richie has suffered a change of heart

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie seem to have fallen out

It's hard to find anyone singing Paris Hilton's praises these days - and I'm not talking about magazines or the Internet, because we all know Paris is the tabloid "it" girl - but not in a very good way. However, it would seem that even Paris' (former) inner circle of close friends is being infected with the "Paris hating" virus. Star magazine quotes an insider who claims that the recently settled-down Nicole Richie, Paris' former best friend and "Simple Life" co-star, is sick and tired of the Hilton heiress, all the more so since Paris in now dating Benji Madden, twin brother to Joel Madden, Nicole's baby daddy and future husband.

Although most of us assumed it was a match made in heaven - two best friends dating two brothers - all is not well on the "rich socialite with not much to do every day" front. It has long become obvious that Paris and Nicole's friendship is not what it used to be. The newly reformed Miss Richie is said to resent the renewed amount of time she's forced to spend in Paris' company since the heiress started dating Joel Madden's twin. "Nicole has made it clear to Paris that she doesn't like her seeing (Benji)" an insider stated for Star magazine. "She thinks Paris is a total nightmare to be around and just wants her to go away. She isn't happy about Paris once again crashing what is now her picture-perfect life".

While we can easily understand that things between Paris and Nicole may have changed, it's hard to imagine that Paris' presence has suddenly turned completely unbearable - but according to the source in question, that does seem to be the case. The reason is that Nicole resents the way Paris threw herself all over Benji Madden barely a few days after his split from his former fianc�e Sophie Monk. "She feels that Paris screwed Sophie over by coming on to Benji so quickly. Her allegiance is definitely with Sophie - she doesn't trust Paris one bit" the source states. "Nicole is just hoping Paris' relationship with Benji goes down the toilet as quickly as most of her other relationships have. She just wants to get on with her life without Paris", the insider added.
