If, until now, some said that Paris Hilton can focus on only one thing that can generally be found inside a man's pants, and had no argument to back it up, from today on, they will be able to say: Paris doesn't need a man because she is one herself!
Caught as she is in the middle of a brand new scandal, this is exactly what Paris needed: a controversial painter to draw her with a penis. Then again, the entire explicit material that was just recently leaked on the Internet proves that the heiress has only one thing on her mind, that being her own person. Bearing these in mind, we can fully understand why someone would make her thus self-sufficient by giving her a penis.
The painting in question can be seen at Spinello Gallery in Miami, where Hackworth is having a solo show called 'Thank You, Come Again'. It is a part of a larger series, 'Celebrity Fantasy Series', which also includes a portrait of Mary-Kate Olsen with a similar 'attachment' to her crotch. I say, if you hurry, you may still catch it, since the show closes on February 3rd.
Besides the never-ending source humor that stems from such a painting and the possible meaning that we could give to it (meaning, the one above, about how Paris is from now on self-sufficient), the artist also had another thing in mind when he started working on it. His intention was that, by giving voice to his imagery of sitcom characters and Tinseltown damsels, he could raise awareness to the fact that America is turning into Babylon.
'The painting is an anti-war, anti-escalation of anything like war……the shirt says in Hebrew "Mene Mene Tekel Parsin"….which is basically saying that America is Babylon. It's specifically about what's going on with Iran and the U.S. and the nuclear program over there. Our government has squandered 1.2 trillion dollars on war that we could be using for health care and education and they are looking for more war. The Hebrew phrase is from the Bible about the fall of Babylon.', Hackworth said about the painting showing Paris with a penis.
Thus, Paris Hilton has reached the height of her fame: by her mere existence and way of being, the overrated heiress has managed to become a cry against war... with people using her as a negative role model. Congrats to Hackworth for showing us how things stand!
