A little boy, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in January and lost the battle with the ruthless disease at the beginning of this month, has been laid to rest in a Star Wars-themed funeral.

After he found out about the brain tumor, Jack Robinson, from Hampshire, England, created a bucket list of things he would like to do before passing, and with his parents' help, he managed to check off all entries in the list, including his final wish – to have a Star Wars-themed funeral.

The brave four-year-old boy was given only a five per cent chance of survival after surgery to remove the deadly tumor, so his parents Terence and Marie Robinson along with his four siblings joined their forces and did everything they could to make all his final wishes come true.

Jack's dreams turned into reality when he met X Factor judge Gary Barlow, and Doctor Who star Matt Smith sent him a funny personalized video message. He also had an early Christmas and birthday party and had the chance to ride in a fire engine.

But his final wish could only be fulfilled yesterday, when his parents organized a Star Wars-themed funeral for him. His family and friends said an emotional goodbye to him at a special ceremony dedicated to his love for the popular movie.

His tiny body was carried in a Star Wars coffin covered with flowers on a carriage pulled by white horses and flanked by stormtroopers. An R2-D2 model was also placed near the entrance to All Saints' church, while a band played The Binary Sunset music from the Star Wars film.

The flowers that covered his carriage were arranged in the shape of Yoda, R2-D2 and a lightsaber, and the order of service read: “Master Jack Robinson, joined the force 1st April 2014.”

“Jack was a special boy, he was unique and brought everyone together. We needed to give him a unique send off, and the brilliant sunshine that came out for it was Jack looking down on us. I will always love you son,” his grieving father said after the funeral, Daily Mail reports.

“In just four-and-a-half years, Jack achieved what many people spend a lifetime doing. He was only a little boy but he brought people together, from all over the world,” Jack's mother added.

After the unique and emotional funeral, Jack's family held a private burial at a nearby cemetery.
