Parents Fear Miley Cyrus Is the Next Lindsay Lohan

At 17 years old, some feel Miley Cyrus is pushing the envelope in everything she does a bit too far. Even her parents are concerned, living in the fear that she might end up to be the next Lindsay Lohan.

For those not in the know, Lindsay, though once hailed as one of the most promising young actresses, has slowly lost the confidence of directors and movie studios, got in a lot of trouble with the law and has been to rehab at least 4 times – at just 24.

Miley is much younger than her and, so far, hasn’t shown any inclination for hard partying, clubbing or hanging out with the wrong crowd (at least not publicly) but her parents are worried sick that’s the path she’s going to go down on.

According to a family friend speaking with HollywoodLife, Miley’s parents no longer know what to do and how to behave to keep their daughter under control.

“In less than six months, Miley Cyrus has gone from being Disney’s wholesome Hannah Montana, to a 17-year-old club-hopping, see-through shirt wearing wild child… and her parents, Tish and Billy Ray, are beginning to realize their daughter simply can’t be tamed,” says the report.

“At first Miley’s mom, Tish, got upset when people would tell her her daughter was being wild, but now she’s realizing it herself,” the family source dishes.

The fact that Miley is basically the one who puts food on the table in the family only makes matters worse because she’s used to having her way – and won’t take no from no one.

“We’re concerned for her. She’s 17-years-old, but is the one who makes the money and calls all the shots in the family. No one tells Miley no,” the insider further says.

“And even if they did, she’s so charismatic that she’d convince them to change their minds,” adds the spy.

The problem with Miley, the same source explains, is not that she’s bad but rather that she needs someone to check her when she starts losing her way – and it’s precisely this that her parents are trying to do.

“She’s a sweet girl at heart, but she’s starting to push the envelope,” the same insider reveals.

“Between the fast-paced lifestyle and her new ‘image,’ everyone is saying that it’s just a matter of time before she ends up in trouble. We don’t want her to be the next Lindsay Lohan, but the odds are against her,” says the spy.
