Parents Enlist Suri Cruise at Catholic School

Suri Cruise is still young, but it’s never too early to think about her education and her future, or, at least, this is what Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, her parents, seem to be thinking. The two stars have finally come to an understanding as to Suri’s future and she has been enlisted for classes at a Catholic pre-school, Sawf News writes, citing a Splash report.

Apparently, the two actors had long been debating and arguing over whether to have Suri attend a Scientologist institution or a Catholic one. Clearly, Tom was inclined for the former, while Katie was pushing for the latter. In the end, it seems that Katie came out as the winner of the argument, as daughter Suri will attend classes at a Catholic school, the report says.

“Suri Cruise will be sent to a Catholic preschool in what is being billed as a coup for Katie Holmes. The mother of Tom Cruise’s three-year-old daughter is said to have won a hard-fought battle to keep Suri away from her dad’s Scientology. Holmes has enrolled Suri at the Catholic Charities’ Yawkey Centre For Early Education And Learning in Boston, Massachusetts. Cruise is making ‘Wichita’ in the city with co-star Cameron Diaz.” Sawf News writes.

As some of you might already know, Katie is from a Catholic family, which is why plenty of speculation arouse as to whether she would convert to Scientology upon marriage, as well as about her parents’ reaction to the news of the wedding, of which they did not approve. The decision to give Suri a Catholic education seems to have risen both from a certain sense of guilt and an attempt at blocking Tom from raising her in the Scientology spirit, unnamed sources are whispering.

“Katie has been listening to her parents, who are devout Catholics. She is not convinced by Scientology and has told Tom that she wants Suri to be educated as a Catholic – as she was. They had been having huge problems agreeing on her school. To say they were having arguments is putting it mildly – but Tom came around to the idea in the end.” one spy, who reportedly is well aware of all the goings-on in the Cruise family, says.
