The “Paranormal Activity” horror franchise got its start in 2009 and, though this year won’t see the release of a new installment, we’ll still be getting some “PA”-related goodies in the first week of next year.

“Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones” is billed as a Latino-themed spinoff and will be out on January 3, 2014.

The first official trailer for it has been released and, as usual, you can see it in full and in HD above. It even offers a link to the original “PA” film, just in case you were wondering where the idea for it came from.

Meanwhile, a fifth installment will be out in October 2014, as per usual, with a one-year pause for 2013.

The spinoff is directed by Christopher Landon, who co-wrote “PA” from 2 through 4 and, from what I can make out from the trailer, it will include some black magic, walking into rooms where people died, street gangs, easy jump scares, and possession.

It’s probably worth a try, especially if you’re a fan of this type of movies.
