Ladies, running on the beach is bound to get more interesting (to watch). Paramount Pictures is still determined to make a “Baywatch” film and it's already found a possible David Hasselhoff replacement in Justin Timberlake.
Not bad, not bad
at all.
TwitchFilm says movie studio bosses have already set their sights on the singer turned actor, but are also open to the idea of cameos from members of the original cast.
“A big screen version of Baywatch has been in development for
quite a while now with Ivan Reitman, Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson on board as producers,” the e-zine says.
“Twitch has learned that the project – which is set up at Paramount – is now pursuing Justin Timberlake to play the lead,” adds the same report.
He's already proved he can do comedy but, as of late, Justin has been very focused on establishing himself as a more “serious” actor (“The Social Network,” the upcoming “Trouble with the Curve” and “Inside Lleywn Davis”).
As such, a film as campy as “Baywatch” might not be on his to-do list – but that shouldn't stop fans from wishing it were true.
