Parallels Inc. has released a support document detailing the contents of a new update for its virtualization software which improves stability and performance.

The binary is not yet available, but you’ll be able to download Parallels Desktop for Mac 9.0.24172 from Softpedia the minute it hits the web.

The update reportedly addresses “overall stability and performance issues,” but it also includes some specific fixes.

One problem resolved in this update is the OS X login screen popping out of nowhere while Windows is running in Coherence. This is caused by a bug triggered after moving the mouse pointer to the left bottom corner of the screen, according to Parallels.

An issue with the prl-cc.exe process blocking Windows shutdown is also fixed. Some OpenGL applications would crash when running in a virtual machine, and this problem is also addressed. Finally, an issue affecting Linux installations of Parallels Transporter Agent is also gone.

Update: the binary is now available for download at the above link.
