Paragon Software Group, the worldwide leading developer of software solutions for mobile phones and PCs, and South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung announced today a partnership aimed at delivering Paragon’s mobile applications via the newly launched Samsung Application Store. The software portal delivers access to a variety of applications developed specifically for their devices, which will also include Paragon's solutions, the two companies unveiled.

“Paragon’s more than 120 products, especially the bestselling multilingual handwriting recognition software and multilingual ‘talking’ dictionaries, are already well known to Samsung mobile users. Making the best products now available at the Application Store will be an additional advantage to the user since a convenient shortcut to direct download is available right on the mobile device, allowing users to discover new offerings without any intermediate step,” said Kanghyun Kwon, Vice President of Samsung’s Media Solution Center.

For the beginning, Paragon Software Group will deliver through the Samsung Application Store the popular multilingual ‘talking’ dictionaries coming from top publishers around the world, including the Concise Oxford English Dictionary, and bilingual SlovoEd English-French, English-Spanish, English-German and English-Italian series. In addition, users will also benefit from the company's utility product line, as well as from its PenReader Touch, the handwriting recognition application.

The Paragon applications will become available through the software portal for Samsung mobile phone users that own an Omnia or an I8910 HD handset, yet those with a Omnia II (I8000) or an OmniaLITE (B7300) should receive access to the Application Store in the near future. We should also mention that the portal is currently available only for handset users that live in the UK, France and Italy (with more countries to receive access shortly). The two companies also stated that they plan on extending their multi-year partnership to deliver the Paragon subsequent product lines to all of Samsung's users out there.
