The team at Paradox Interactive has long been known for the grand strategy titles it has been creating and launching, complex experiences based on history that ask gamers to dedicate a lot of time to understand all the core mechanics, but also offer tens of hours of fun, battles, conspiracies, and diplomatic interactions.

The company is now announcing the creation of a new Paradoxian Order and the launch of the first Value Added Pack for members that will offer them some cool new extra items in 2015.

Fredrik Wester, the chief executive officer of Paradox, states in the official announcement that “Paradoxians are the backbone of our company, whether you work at Paradox Interactive or are a part of the community, and together we will all contribute to shaping where our company is going over the next 10 years.”

The club is designed to get more offers and content revealed all through next year.

Some of the perks associated with the new player club will be entirely free, others will require a payment.

At the moment, the Value Added Pack can be purchased for 46 Euro (69 dollars) and includes: a 10 percent discount voucher that can be used in the official store, 4 invitations to take part in multiplayer sessions with the development team, participation in a contest which offers an all-expenses-paid trip to a fan gathering during the year.

Paradox is also saying that they are donating 5 percent of all the proceeds from the newly revealed pack to the Able Gamers charity.

A grand strategy club might be an interesting initiative

It will be interesting to see how excited players are to become part of the Paradoxian Order and what kind of extra value it can deliver to those who love titles like Europa Universalis IV, Crusader Kings II, or the upcoming Hearts of Iron IV.

Paradox Interactive has recently announced that it was putting development for Runemaster on hold, a tactical and role-playing game hybrid which was supposed to be offered on the PlayStation 4, as well as on the PC.

The big coming launch for the company is Hearts of Iron IV, the grand strategy experience based on World War II which is designed to introduce a range of new ideas that will make it easier for players to handle the conflict and to devise a strategy to lead their country to victory.

More DLC is also being planned for Europa Universalis IV.
