Now you can run your favorite games on Intel Macs too

Virtual Programming announced today the release of Universal binary updates for Paradox titles. Their strategy games will from now on be able to run natively on Intel-based Macs.

The updates also bring several bug fixes and tweaks, as well as the ability to run the games in window mode. The strategy games updates are free of charge. Six Mac games were updated, and here they are:

Europa Universalis II - a historical strategy game simulating all aspects of world history from 1419 to 1820. Each player takes on the role of one of the era's major nations, controlling diplomacy, economy, warfare, exploration and colonization. It's priced at $19.95.

Victoria - Guide your nation from the era of the absolute monarchies of the early 19th century to evolve into a fully industrialized Great Power. Victoria costs $19.95.

Crusader Kings is a strategy game that recreates the feudal kingdoms of medieval Europe between 1066 and 1453. This too is priced at $19.95.

Hearts of Iron 2, the sequel to the greatest World War II strategy game ever made! This game costs $19.95.

Hearts of Iron 2: Doomsday - World War II strategy game, the German war machine falls and two great nations rise to claim power. Buy it for $24.95.

Victoria: Revolutions is an expansion pack to the original game Victoria - An Empire Under the Suns and so you must get this game first. Victoria: Revolutions costs $14.95.

These are the games that were updated to universal binary. If you like historical strategy games, here's plenty to choose from. You can order online from the Virtual Programming website. Who said Macs are not good for playing games?
