If you're a fan of the Hearts of Iron strategy series, Paradox Interactive has made it clear yesterday that all of the title's installments will be available via retail channels in a complete collection, going by the name of "Hearts of Iron Anthology." Not that impressive huh? Wait till you see the price.

The Hearts of Iron series has won numerous Editor Choice Awards across the globe and has become one of the strongest brands in the Grand Strategy genre. Its gameplay mostly depicts war, as all strategy games. Hearts of Iron however, has a setting even in WW III.

The official post reveals that this multiple Editor Choice winner and strategy gamer favorite will include the booster pack Armageddon. It has never been shipped to any retailer. This will also include Hearts of Iron, Hearts of Iron II and Hearts of Iron II: Doomsday. Purchasers will be treated to a unique Paradox medal and a large strategy map spanning the entire world included in the product. The complete collection is due out towards the end of August.

Here are some key features about the game, for those who are just picking up on the series:

■ Command any frontline during World War II as one of more than 175 playable countries. ■ Four major campaigns let you play through the full course of the war, plus 15 battle scenarios including D-Day, Operation Barbarossa and The Ardennes Offensive. ■ A vast and innovative technology tree that includes more than 350 different technologies to research. ■ More than 12,500 historical military and political leaders, each brought to life with authentic portraits and schemes to further their own agendas. ■ Several "What if" scenarios taking WW II into WW III.

So remember, Hearts of Iron Anthology, developed and published by Paradox Interactive is due for an August release this year, retailing for around 29.99 Euros.
