Adam Lambert and paparazzo get into minor scuffle at the beach, pap claims battery

Singer Adam Lambert got into a scuffle with a paparazzo at the beach the other day, as the latter would not let the former be and kept provoking him. The pap has pressed charges of battery.

As we also reported the other day, Adam was at the beach with a friend, trying to go incognito for some well-deserved R&R.

The paparazzo somehow spotted him and started taking his picture, which made the singer lose his cool and attempt to take his camera from him in a small scuffle.

TMZ now reports that the photographer went to the police and pressed battery charges, claiming Adam actually hurt him as he tries to wrestle the camera away from him.

“Law enforcement sources tell us the paparazzo seen grappling with Lambert on the beach yesterday walked into a Miami Beach police station around 10:30 PM last night and filed a report... accusing the singer of misdemeanor battery,” TMZ writes.

“The victim claims Adam grabbed his backpack ‘where the camera was placed’... and ‘wrestled [the photog] to the ground forcefully’,” the same media outlet notes.

However, the pictures other paparazzi took and that inevitably ended up online tell an entirely different story because the alleged victim is seen holding the camera in his hand, therefore it couldn’t possibly have been in his backpack.

Another thing that can be seen in the photos is that, while Adam seems quite upset about having his picture taken, the photographer is smiling at his attempts of taking his camera away.

“The police report also notes that the photog didn’t sustain any ‘bruises or lacerations.’ Cops tell detectives will decide if the case is worth turning over to the State’s Attorney – who will decide whether to prosecute Lambert,” TMZ goes on to say.

If prosecuted and found guilty, Adam could face a 1-year prison sentence and a $1,000 fine.

Since the photographer pressed charges, Adam took to his Twitter again to address the so-called battery case. In his own words, the only thing he’s still sorry for is the straw hat and the fact that he lost his temper when he should have known better than that.

“Battery? Nope. I attempted to grab a camera, no punches were thrown and no one was on the ground... It was literally harmless. If embarrassment is a crime – that’s all I’m guilty of,” Adam tweets about the incident.
