14 DAY TRIAL // A world-famous paparazzi photographer who papped anyone from Brad Pitt to Rihanna and Beyonce, has been found dead of a single shot to the head. Police aren’t ruling out the possibility of a link between his work and his death.
The Daily Mail reports that Daniele Lo Presti who had as many enemies (or un-friends, better yet) as stories he broke with his revealing shots, was shot dead in Rome.
His body was discovered by the friends with whom he was supposed to go out for a run on that day. Lo Presti was just 42 years old.
Because of the single gunshot, police aren’t ruling out the chance that he was assassinated by someone he might have embarrassed in the past with his photos, or was perhaps blackmailing.
“He was killed with a single shot from a small caliber weapon. It could be he fell foul of a Mafia crime family or someone else who really didn't want their picture taken,” a police spokesperson says.
Lo Presti was found outside, lying face down in a pool of blood.
“Lo Presti was a well-known paparazzo photographer and his scoops embarrassed many people. We are not ruling out a connection between his work and his death, and we are looking through all his most recent assignments as well as phone and computer records,” the spokesperson further says.
The Mail notes that there is a chance this wasn’t the first time someone attempted to kill the paparazzo: 5 years ago, several men set his car on fire and threatened to harm his family because of his work.
His most recent “money shot” was snapped while Brad Pitt was shooting “World War Z,” as he was talking to his personal assistant, a beautiful brunette.
The moment he sold the photos and they went viral, stories spread that Pitt was cheating on his partner Angelina Jolie with the brunette, and it is said that these rumors deeply upset Angelina.
