South Korean mobile phone maker Pantech is reportedly gearing up for the launch of its own phablet, and it might unveil it officially on January 28.

According to recent rumors, the new device would sport a 5.9-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD resolution, while packing a Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor inside it.

The handset, said to sport model number Pantech IM-A860, should also feature 2GB of RAM inside, along with a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back.

At the same time, the new device is said to run under Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

Although the device had been rumored before, no official confirmation on its existence has emerged so far, but there are less than two weeks left until we’ll know for sure what Pantech has in store for us, so stay tuned.
