South Korean mobile phone maker Pantech is expected to launch a new large smartphone as soon as the next week, and it has already sent out invitations for the press event.

The handset, said to be included in the company’s popular Vega lineup, will feature a 5.9-inch touchscreen display, most probably capable of delivering a full HD resolution.

The upcoming smartphone is expected to be launched under the name of Vega Note, should sport a stylus, and might feature the same specs as Pantech’s 5.6-inch Vega LTE-A handset.

As UnwiredView notes, the handset will pack a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor inside, complemented by 2GB of RAM.

Furthermore, it should include LTE-A support (up to 150 Mbps), while running under the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. It is also expected to sport a next-generation trackpad / fingerprint sensor on the back.
