The handset is expected to arrive in South Korea with a quad-core CPU inside

A new Android-based smartphone from Pantech has been spotted in the AnTuTu benchmark, supposedly set to arrive on shelves as a high-end device.

The handset was seen with model number IM-A870L attached to it, but Pantech is also said to be planning the release of a sibling, namely IM-A870K.

According to a recent post on juggly.cn, the new phone should hit shelves in South Korea soon, on the networks of LG U + and KT.

The phone is said to sport a 1.7GHz processor inside, while featuring a 1184 × 720 pixels screen. Furthermore, the new Pantech handset was spotted with Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top.

The handset managed to score above 24,000 points in AnTuTu, which suggests that it sports a quad-core processor inside. Stay tuned for more on it.
