Pantech Duo, the popular dual-sliding, double-keyboard mobile phone is now offered in a red edition, just in time for Valentine's Day. The handset is brought to us exclusively by AT&T, the largest North American mobile carrier.

Produced by Pantech Curitel, the other important South Korean mobile manufacturer after Samsung and LG, the Duo handset comes with an impressively compact design as well as a wide range of features. The phone provides a standard 12-key numeric keypad plus a full QWERTY keyboard for easy and quick text input, a 5-way navigation key, 3G with HSDPA for high speed data transfers, Telenav Maps and Navigator support and it is powered by a 416 MHz Marvell Bulverde CPU. Furthermore, the handset runs on Windows Mobile 6.0 and comes with Direct Push, Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile and XpressMail support, Windows Media Player 10 Mobile, Internet Explorer Mobile, Instant Messaging (Yahoo!, AOL and Windows Live), AT&T Music and Music ID.

Other features of the Duo slider: 2.2 inch QVGA display with LED backlight, 1.3 Megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, mini USB, Cellular Video capabilities, simultaneous voice and data capabilities, text, picture, and video messaging, speakerphone and microSD card support for up to 2GB of extended memory. Weighing 110 grams (3.88 ounces) and measuring 102 x 50 x 21 millimeters (4.02 x 1.97 x 0.83 inches), Pantech Duo is not really the slimmest phone out there but, after all, it offers two sliding keyboards, a feature not often found in mobile phones.

The red edition of Pantech Duo is available for a special price of $199, via A&T's website, retail stores and select national retailers. The original black version of Pantech Duo was released in October 2007 and can also be bought, for $99 with a two-year AT&T contract agreement.
