Pantech, one of the world's leading mobile communications groups - comprised of Pantech&Curitel Communications, Inc., Pantech Co., Ltd. and Pantech C&I Inc. ("Pantech" hereafter) - has just launched the PG-6100 multimedia phone, a new model aimed at young, trend conscious, style savvy consumers.

The new clamshell phone is being billed as "the complete convergence device" and is aimed at providing users with an advanced, cutting edge combination of camera and phone technology,
while also offering a trendy, innovative look and design.

Sung-Kyu Lee, President & CEO of Pantech Co., said: "Basically, the PG-6100 is aimed at early adopters who are constantly eager to embrace new fashions, styles and trends. The ideal PG-6100 user is, in many ways, a young person who is keen to show that they have a unique outlook and perspective on the world".

"As Pantech is committed to the delivery of the most advanced mobile technology and the most modern phone design, we feel that there is a natural fit between what we have to offer and what this particular group of customers are looking for. The PG-6100 is geared towards offering these users the optimal combination of design and functionality," said Mr. Lee.

The PG-6100 model weighs less than 100g and features an MP3 player, photo caller ID, WAP 2.0 and Java technology, Bluetooth functionality and a voice memo system. It also features a 2.0M Pixel CMOS camera, allowing users to avail of a genuinely world class camera phone experience.

Pantech is a global leader in camera phone technology, having provided a number of world firsts in this area, such as the world's first 2 mega-pixel phone with optical zoom lenses, and the first 3 mega-pixel camera phone with self-developed CMOS module.

The new PG-6100 phone will be first made available to users in Russia - having been demonstrated last month to considerable acclaim at the SVIAZ Expo Comm 2005 trade show in Moscow - and will then be rolled out in Korea.
