Sensing competition approaching, Pandora Radio today upped the ante with new offerings on iDevices, including iOS 7 support, iPad compatibility, new ways to explore music without pausing your songs, and more.

Pandora Radio is expecting competition from iTunes Radio, a service introduced by Apple with iOS 7 (which will be available for download later today).

The company said it was not afraid of any newcomers in the streaming industry, but something tells me they’re shaking in their boots. Anyway, just to be sure, they’ve rolled out version 5.0 today which puts all the conveniences of the service on iPads (in a native format), and adds support for the new iOS 7, complete with a new look.

“The features you love on iPhone are now available on iPad. Add variety to your stations, view your thumb history, and see track lyrics,” says Pandora.

Users can now swipe to explore content without interrupting their music, while a new “third pane” allows iPad users to take advantage of the increased screen real estate and find new artists and tracks a lot easier.
