Pandigital has just announced its new line of Android tablets, which will be soon available in the United States for under $200.

According to the manufacturer, the first three tablets in the line, Pandigital Planet, Pandigital Nova and Pandigital Star will be available this month, while a fourth unannounced product will be available in September.

The Pandigital Planet is currently available for a suggested retail price of $189, the Pandigital Nova will be available this week for the same price, while the Pandigital Star will be launched in mid-August for $159.

Although all three tablets are equipped with ARM Cortex A9 processors with embedded hardware 3D graphics engines, two of them are delivered with Android 2.2 Froyo (Pandigital Planet and Star), while the third comes with Gingerbread (Pandigital Nova).

We have included many of the features and functionality that consumers have come to expect from much higher priced devices. To further enhance the customer experience, each model also includes several advanced features, such as the ability to browse the Internet, catch up on email, watch movies, and share photos on the family TV from the tablet,” said Dean Finnegan, founder and CEO, Pandigital.

All three tablets are Wi-Fi-enabled and each feature a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display, but the resolutions are slightly different.

While the Planet and Nova offer a 600 x 800 pixels resolution, the Star's thinner width utilizes an 800 x 480 pixels widescreen resolution.

Furthermore, instead of offering access to Android Market, all three tablets come pre-loaded with Barnes & Noble's eBookstore app and provide access to GetJar's app download store.

As far as storage goes, Pandigital Planet and Star pack 2GB of internal memory, while the Star has 4GB storage.

In addition, all three feature a microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), as well as built-in mini-USB On The Go (OTG) port.
