More than 165.000 active beta testers provided the necessary feedback for the development team to come out with a refined Panda Cloud Antivirus 2.0 (reviewed here). The changed look does not cut down but offers a more organized perspective of the protection components. The new Cloud Antivirus from Panda features a better disinfection engine, integration of behavioral analysis in the free edition of the product, as well as improved offline protection, which is an important step considering that this is a cloud-based antivirus.
Both the paid product and the free one benefit from a process monitor that records Internet connections for running programs on a per process basis. The difference between the two, however, resides in the fact that Panda Cloud Antivirus Pro also has a community-based firewall which features intrusion prevention mechanics to foil network attacks.
