Panda made public today a new release of their Cloud Antivirus. The new version, 1.9.2, seems like an overhaul of the product because it incorporates plenty of new features, besides the necessary fixes reported by beta testers.

New in this revision is the firewall platform, which allows the component to adapt its behavior according to risk zones; also new is the Intrusion Detection System that protects against network attacks. However, users will see these only in the Pro version of the product.

Additional enhancements consist of better disinfection abilities as well as decreased impact on system performance, improved detection of in-memory malware, quarantine management and disinfection of packed/compressed malware. The full list of changes is available here.

Apart from the considerable progress that is marked by this revision, Pedro Bustamante, senior research advisor at Panda Security, brings more good news, informing that version 2.0 of the application is not too far from being released.
