Panasonic has released a new firmware for their SZ9 compact digital camera. Version 1.1 sorts out the issue regarding the entering of a computer name when connected to Wi-Fi.

The installation procedure is simple. All you need is a formatted memory card on which the firmware will be copied. With this card in the camera, start the installation from the menu. When it is complete, the camera will restart.

Although it is a compact camera, the SZ9 packs a lot of technology and features. For example, intelligent HDR will help you perfectly balance the exposure level of your photos, while the Creative Panorama function will capture up to three times wider scenes.

The SZ9 can also shoot Full HD video in two formats: AVCHD or MP4. The first is optimal for viewing on a VIERA TV or with Blu-ray Disc players while the other is for editing or viewing on a computer.

Below is the link to the firmware. Download, install and stay “updated one minute ago.”
