Today, Panasonic has rolled out a new firmware update targeted at its LUMIX GH4 digital camera, namely version 1.1, which improves the video recording performance overall reliability and can be applied regardless of the operating system.

In order to benefit from this enhancement, get and extract the downloadable archive, format an SD card using the camera’s menu, make sure you are using a fully charged battery, and power off the DCM-GH4 device.

When done, copy the “GH4__V11.bin” file from within the newly-created folder onto the memory card, insert it into the camera, turn the unit on, and press the Play button. After a “Please Wait” message, the camera should recognize the new firmware and ask for your permission to initiate the upgrade.

If you are ok with the update, select the “Yes” option and wait for the process to complete. Bear in mind that during the installation you mustn’t turn the device off, make use of any buttons, or remove the SD card, battery, or lens. Doing so will cause the upgrade to fail and the camera to malfunction.

After version 1.1 has completely applied and the camera has rebooted, simply check the currently installed firmware to ensure the process was successful, then turn off the camera and remove the SD card if everything is okay.

With this in mind, download Panasonic DMC-GH4 Camera Firmware 1.1, take into account all aforementioned steps, and upgrade your camera to the latest firmware version. Also, constantly check with our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
