Back in early November 2010, Panasonic brought forth the latest addition to its Lumix G series of mirrorless, interchangeable-lens cameras, the GF2, but the Japanese company sure took its sweet time before making it officially available on the market, not to mention providing some pricing details.

However, it seems that the wait is finally over, since Panasonic has just issued an official statement, informing us that the GF2 should go on sale in mid-February, pricing depending strictly on the specific package of choice.

So, should users decide to opt just for the GF2 body (available in black, silver, red and white), they'll have to cough up around 499,95 US dollars in order to do.

Nevertheless, if they're really looking forward to enjoy a more comprehensive photographic experience, they can go for the LUMIX GF2K (14-42mm lens), that will have an SRP of $599.95 while the GF2C (14mm lens) will have an SRP of $699.95.

Plus, as initially advertised, users will also be able to delve into 3D photo shooting, but in order to do so, they'll also have to purchase Panasonic's 3D interchangeable lens, the LUMIX G 12.5mm/F12, which will have an SRP of $249.95.

As a quick reminder, the LUMIX GF2 sports a 12.1-megapixel Live MOS sensor, accompanied by the Venus Engine FHD image processor, as well as multiple AF (Auto Focus) modes, including multiple-area AF with up to 23 focus areas, 1-area AF with a selectable focus area, Face Detection, and AF Tracking.

Much like most other digital cameras out there, the new LUMIX GF2 can record 1920 x 1080 videos at 60i or HD 1280 x 720 movies at 60p in AVCHD, as well as HD Motion JPEG in 1280 x 720 and QVGA, VGA and WVGA, while a dedicated video record button is also present.
